TOY, ESP & BHP Nominations Open on November 1st!

It’s that exciting time of year again—time to start the nomination process for Teacher of the Year, Educational Support Professional of the Year, and Behavioral Health Professional of the Year!

This year, we're making things easier with a streamlined nomination process. Starting November 1, 2024, we will open nominations for all categories (TOY, ESP, and BHP) with nominations closing on January 19, 2025.

Teacher of the Year 

Capital School District is beginning its process for selecting the 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year. Parents, students, staff, and community members are encouraged to nominate teachers who are active in our district and community, who inspire students and other teachers, who model outstanding teaching techniques, and who demonstrate a love for education. This prestigious award is an excellent opportunity to recognize and honor the exceptional educators who have significantly impacted our students' lives. Your insights and experiences are invaluable in helping us identify those educators who truly go above and beyond in their commitment to providing educational excellence and a nurturing environment for our students.

Your participation in this process not only honors outstanding educators but also reaffirms the collaborative spirit of our Senator community. We look forward to receiving your nominations and celebrating the exceptional talent within the Capital School District. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our schools.

All Nominations must be submitted by January 19th, 2025.

Behavioral Health Professional of the Year

Capital School District is beginning its process for selection of the 2025-2026 Behavioral Health Professional of the Year and is seeking nominations. Parents, students, staff, and community members may nominate a Behavioral Health Professional working within any of our 15 buildings, including the District Office.

Capital School District staff, students, parents, and community members are encouraged to select an outstanding Behavioral Health Professional of the Year (BHP). This includes school counselors, social workers, licensed clinical social workers, school psychologists and school nurses. Nominees should be skillful and dedicated behavioral health professionals employed by a district or charter school. Those eligible for this award are school employees who offer services for the purpose of improving an individual’s mental health, such as school counselors, social workers, licensed clinical social workers, school psychologists and school nurses.

All Nominations must be submitted by January 19th, 2025.

Educational Support Professional of the Year

Capital School District is beginning its process for selection of the 2025-2026 Educational Support Professional of the Year and we are seeking nominations. Parents, students, staff members, and community members can nominate a para educator, secretary, custodial/maintenance staff, child nutrition worker, computer technician or district employed bus driver or bus aide. You can nominate anyone in our 15 buildings, including the District Office. Nominations are encouraged for employees who are active in our district and community, who work directly or indirectly with students and other teachers, who are dedicated, knowledgeable, and promote positive, supportive and professional images in our school environment and community.

All Nominations must be submitted by January 19th, 2025.
